TWO CAPITALS OF GEORGIA

In a single daylight you will have a unique chance to see two capitals of Georgia. Modern – Tbilisi and ancient Mtskheta, entirely included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

At Mtskheta you’ll visit:

• Urban areas of Mtskheta (UNESCO)
• The monastery complex Samtavro (main temple of XI century)
• Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli (life-giving pillar) – patriarchal cathedral church of the Georgian Orthodox Church, which has been the mainc cathedral throughout Georgis for millennia.
• Jvari monastery church (VI century)

At Tbilisi:

You’ll walk through the Old Town and the new part of Tbilisi. You’ll visit the holy mountain Mtatsminda, the largest orthodox Cathedral of Sameba and see the main attractions and temples of the city. Our guide will show you real Tbilisi – you look in the Italian courtyard of Old Tbilisi, learn how to live ordinary citizens. And also get practical information about the city – where to dine, see how Georgian bake bread, learn where to buy the best wine and try the famous Lagidze water.

UPLISTSIKHE, GORI

We will visit the birthplace of Stalin in Gori and the ancient cave city Uplistsikhe.

  KAKHETI REGION

  THE WINE TOUR

  We're going to the eastern part of Georgia - Kakheti. Region, where almost all Georgian winemaking is concentrated. In one day of our saturated journey you will see a variety of attractions and natural beauty. We will visit:

• The Monastery of St. Nino in Bodbe
• Sighnaghi – City of love; lunch at the one of the best family restaurant, where you’ll fill the real Georgian hospitality
• Kindzmarauli Corporation winery (excursion and degustation of wine)
• Wine cellar and tunnel “HAREBA” Gvirabi, excursion through the wine cellar, degustation of wine.

  KAKHETI – ALAZAINI VALLEY

  First you’ll see the mountainous Kakheti – travelling through the amazing Gombori Pass to the last capital of Kakheti region – Telavi. There you’ll see the sycamore tree which is 900 years old and make wishes. In 20 km from Telavi you’ll visit the Cathedral of Alaverdi.

  Then you’ll have the tour through Alazani Valley:

• The House and wine cellar of Alexander Chavchavadze in Cinandali;
• Gremi castle, the old capital of Kakhetian Kingdom
• Nekresi – the old monastery complex

  KAZBEGI. GEORGIAN MILITARY HIGHWAY

  We are glad to invite you to Kazbegi – Georgia district located entirely in the mountains. Our route will take place by the Georgian Military Highway, which is an attraction and a hallmark of Georgia in itself. For many years it has been a source of inspiration for many poets and writers who have visited here – including Pushkin, Tolstoy, Griboyedov, Chekhov.

  We will visit:

• Zhinvali water reservoir.Ananuri fortress. Forpost of the capital. Here tbilisians sheltered from the attacks of enemies.
• Mletsky downhill at the Georgian Military Highway
• Gudauri ski resort
• Russian-Georgian friend-ship monument
• Jvari Pass. Pass through the Great Caucasus Range – 2,395 meters above sea level.
• Mineral springs
• The rise to Sameba church to enjoy an impressive view on the Kazbek mountain

  TOUR TO THE SOUTH OF GEORGIA

• At Borjomi we will walk through the picturesque Borjomi gorge and the park, climb to Borjomi plateau by cable car, and of course enjoy the legendary  mineral water straight from the source. The beautiful nature resort, healthy fresh air and sights.
• Vardzia - this is an outstanding monument of medieval Georgian architecture. The date of its construction is XII-XIII century. 600 spaces: churches, chapels, living cells, storage rooms, baths, refectory, treasury stores and libraries. The premises of the complex goes up to 50m. Deep into the rock and rise to a heigh of eight storys.
• Rabati – old beautiful Castle in Akhaltsikhe with old houses, mosque, medrese, synagogue and Armenian church.
